I think it's Priscilla. You don't think Presley just, like, slipped away and... Did some session work? I'll be back in a minute, Mom. You look like your dog is part of the wrecking crew? I've got to meet up. She's just trying to help us make ends meet. I'm going to meet up with Glenn Campbell and Carol Kaye, and we're going to make her record. You know, when I was... Well, I don't even want to say young, but I always thought it was... Somehow I didn't understand what it meant, ends meet. I thought it was, like, M-E-A-T. Nice. Like, you're trying to feed your family. Yeah, steak. But that's not correct. We talked about how, on the Mike O'Mara show, which is another program I do, I ruined Easter. Because I arranged... Oh, no! I... I know I've got a question for you. I do. Okay. But I want to just start with this, is that I arranged for a pickup at Target for all the things we're going to need for Easter, but guess what? I don't know. Target's not open on Easter. So... Oh, boy. You screwed up. Big, big. I really did. Yeah. In a big way. So... Goodness. I put together a great... A ham, everything, string beans. Oh, no, you didn't. Well, I did. I just didn't get it. Yeah. And then the panic set in when Carrie said, well, you can't cancel it. You've got to pick it up the next day. I said, what am I going to do with a ham on the day after Easter? To which Mike said, you can get through it in two weeks. Redo! Oh, yeah. But we had burgers instead. So that's fine. Okay. All right. But anyway, I forget why I went there. Easter. Uh-huh. You were... You were giving me a slime. No, no. I will talk about this on the show, and we have not begun the show yet. Oh, the show hasn't begun yet. I didn't know. You didn't mention this going in that you had an Easter topic. I called you on Saturday. I know, but you didn't bring it up. Okay, let's... We'll save it. But you had also... You had a question for me before we start the show. Is that appropriate? Am I screwing this up like Easter? You're messing this up, too. Man, you know what? I can't catch a break. Nope. I did make a joke when I posted the last episode, though. And I thought you might enjoy it. What joke was that? Did you read the caption? Probably not. It said, we recorded on Good Friday, and on the third day it rose to your podcast provider. No, I didn't read your... And that's not funny. That's something that would be written by someone who ruins Easter. You usually go in and post something on Facebook like clickety-clack. Yeah, I do. Click, clicky. But this is the show descriptor. Oh, the descriptor. Yeah. I usually do read those, actually, because I copy the link. I make it easy for everyone. Not for me. You're over there saying, hey, you ruined Easter. I would never make things easy on you. You know what? Or for me. It's not in my nature. No one can. I just keep digging in the bottom of this hole, and it doesn't get any better. What are you going to do? Is your ham in your extra fridge? Turns out, we were able to get a full refund. Oh! We didn't have to pick up the stuff. That's good. Yeah, but then we were out of Cokes, because I ordered a case and a half of Cokes, and had to go buy them. But we ended up going to my mom's and having burgers, and it was fine. Me and my mom. She came in clutch. She came in clutch. She made potato salad, because she was anticipating ham. Now, did she... Now, here... Oh, yeah. What? With dill? No. No dill in the potato... Oh, so I'm used to, like, a German potato salad. Yeah. Well, you like to play the game dill or no dill. And it's hosted by Howie Mandel. The only problem is, like, sometimes the inside... Like, the velvet inside the suitcase gets in your teeth. Yeah. I like that part. Yeah. No. My mom is, I guess, what? Potatoes, sliced up hard-boiled eggs. Two kinds of pickles. That's pretty good. Bread and butter pickles and dill pickles. Okay. Mayonnaise, some sour cream. There's dill there. I hate bread and butter pickles. Why? Oh, no, no, no. I don't like sweet pickles of any sort. Well, these are not always... I'm a sour, bitter girl at my core. I don't like the sweet stuff. And she made brownies. My mom made brownies. Special brownies? For the whole family. Yeah. Pot brownies? No. Not her deal. When your son is a diabetic addict, you don't make... You don't make those. Pot brownies. Yeah, yeah. I've never had a pot brownie. Oh, yeah. Me neither. Yes. Yeah. Are they delicious? Or do they have that sort of pot flavor? If you do them... If you do... Are you going to be like MC Hammer? You got to do them proper? You got to do them proper. Please, Hammer, don't hurt him. I haven't had any in a long time. But it's usually the butter is where the hemp resides. That's the best. I think that's probably the best way to make them because otherwise... So you could like use pot butter to fry eggs. I can tell you though. In 2008, I believe it was 2008 going into 2009. Some 17 years ago. Yes. I was young and free. I had just gotten divorced. Yes. You were out on the town. And I actually went up to New York and I stayed with a couple of my friends over New Year's Eve. Well, that's nice. In Brooklyn. We did not go downtown. That was not our jam. They were just having like... No, and Brooklyn is different. Oh, it was so much fun. But there were brownies that I did not know. Ah. Yes. Yes. And I can... When did you realize? Because it doesn't come on right away. I know exactly when I realized. Good. Tell me. Tell me this answer. It was after midnight, but I can't tell you exactly when. All I know is that I, at the time, had... I think you might remember, I didn't have a television or anything in my apartment forever. Just had my record player and my stereo. That was it. Didn't I give you a TV? Yeah. Wasn't I so troubled by the fact that you had no television? You had Oscar. That I brought a tube television. Yes. Yes. Weighed 4 billion pounds. Brought it into the station, and I said, you need to have a TV. I've never had someone so concerned. It bothered me. To this day, the thought of you not having a TV then bothers me now. So, and if... Let's just, you know, keep in the fact that, yes, it was a tube TV. But what happened was... What had happened? I was up there, and these special brownies had kicked in, and I was drinking champagne. Oh, with ice? No, no. Still my favorite drink, though. Yeah. But they had TiVo. And they kept rewinding the ball dropping and recounting down from 10. And you were not in a mind where you could handle what was going on? I thought I was in a time warp. I was doing back in the corner. Those are no friends of yours, if they're doing that to you. No. So I stood back in the corner, and as soon as, I believe it was Leslie, she found me. She's like, oh, no, little Katie, what's wrong? And I was like, it's like Ground Hug Day, and I hate it. It just keeps happening over and over and over again. Did they rewind it far enough so that Dick Clark hadn't had a stroke yet? So... That's horrible. So Leslie leads me to their bedroom and puts me into the bed. Oh, you weren't hoping for anything, though? No, no. And then a little bit later, RJ comes in, and he's all drunk. And not the RJ you know from the Michael Moore show. No, their husband and wife. And I love them so much. So he comes in, he's like, little Katie, are you okay? I heard what happened. Do they really call you little Katie? Yeah. You know what? That's dreadfully cute. I know. I should do that. And he's one of the sweetest people in the whole planet. And I was like, I think I'm okay. I'm just a little cold. And everyone's coats were on the bed. So he takes and he, like, shoves the coats on top of me. Like you are a three-year-old gone to a party with your parents. And they put you down in the host bedroom and cover you in coats. Little Katie. I think I was, like, 29. I might have been 30. Okay. And then as everyone starts to leave, like, I just sort of emerged. You lose your blankets. It was like, whoa. It's like everyone take a blanket when you go, except it's your coat. And I just sort of woke up and I felt much better and I was ready to party again. But everyone was leaving. And I was like, where are you going? I, it's me, little Katie, the elf of the coats. Would you be a coat elf the way Dobby's a house elf? I think so. Okay. I remember being very little. And my folks would go over to my dad's brother's house, Dave, Dave and Barb. And they had two kids, Jen and Wes. Wes was roughly my age. Jen was a little older. But we were cousins growing up. So we got on okay. But they'd put us down because, you know, they're not done partying. And so they put us down. And I remember waking up with my dad carrying me to our home. And he had just gotten, it was cold. He had just gotten a big, blue, fluffy, downfilled ski jacket. Like they were kind of newish at the time. And I remember the feeling of my face being in that. And I said, this is fantastic. I bet you could hear what it sounded like to be up against the material. Yes, I can still hear it. But it was so great because the last thing I remembered, I was probably like arguing with Wes. And then I wake up and I'm in my father's ar
