There's a chapter in every woman's life that's universal but rarely talked about.

A time when hormones shift, bodies change, and intimacy can suddenly feel different.

For too long, women have been told these changes are simply something to endure.

Vela was created to change that.

We're building a new category in women's health,

one that combines scientific research with the realities of women's lives.

Through products like Pleasure Wave,

which uses innovation to help relax soft tissue and reduce discomfort.

Meltwater, a daily vaginal emollient with hyaluronic acid and aloe vera

for dryness associated with hormonal changes.

And Everslide, a lubricant designed to support comfortable intimacy.

We're helping women stay connected to pleasure, confidence, and their relationships.

Because menopause isn't the end of a vibrant sex life,

and sexual wellness isn't a luxury.

It's part of overall health.

Vela gives women the knowledge, tools, and agency to navigate this transition on their own terms.

Vela, understand your body.

Hey there. This is Judd. Oh no! With the very hateful dog thought of the day. I hate Thunder Boomers. They shake my house. And they shake my soul. Mom straps me into a shirt that, well, I must admit, I do look pretty handsome in that shirt. Dad says you should always shake your money maker. I'm shaking everything I got, but have yet to see a paw check. It's a rough life. I hate Storms, but I love Snuggles. It's you. I love you too. I'm not paying him. It's not his job to do that. Hey, he gets paid in treats. It's easy. I got this. You got it? Good. All right. I got it. I got it. I didn't expect that. I can tell. Yeah. You did not tip your hand. Here's another something that no one will be expecting. Or will they? Cake and Cookies. Rob and Katie. It's the Rob and Katie Show. Indeed it is. Episode number 51 of Cake and Cookies. 51. And I'm going to very, very rush to this part so there's music under it this week. Yes, please. Thank you. It is a weekly podcast that proves once and for all that your life is not that bad in comparison. Maybe it would have been better if I'd done it right. What is it better? Is it best when it's right without music or wrong? With music. Wrong with music. Good. Because then it's just weird and wrong. It is a weekly podcast that proves that your life is not so bad in comparison. We want to thank everybody and more broadcasting. Thank you, Mike O'Mara, Oscar Santana, Tony Boom Boom Bloom. And, of course, Rob and Joe. Be nice. I didn't expect that. We are here. And remember I said that there was something I wanted to tell you that might make you scream? Okay. Carrie got something today that would surprise and dazzle almost anybody. Okay. She got a crocheted Linus. What? Is it life size? No, no, no. Far from it. It's little guys. I don't even know what that means. Well, it's... Okay. You know Haiti. My buddy Haiti, right? Yes. Yes. Has she taken up the crocheting? No, but her sister Maria is quite the handy lady with the crochet hook. Is it crochet or knit? I think it's crochet. Okay. I will show it to you before the show is out. That would be nice. It's upstairs. But the thing is, is that she... Naturally, you wouldn't keep something like that in the basement. But she started... This belong with the L guy. I think she started crocheting, like, hot dogs and hamburgers. What? Yeah. Because I think the ultimate plan was to sell them. Of course. Naturally. And, you know, because, you know, just how many Afghans do you need? Sometimes you need to have something that isn't an Afghan that's crocheted. And so I saw it and... So, wait. Is Haiti's sister a grown-up? Yes. Does she still live with her parents? I will be sure to pass that question along. So, Katie wants to know if you're a grown-up. Or on the flip side, is she elderly? No, she's not elderly. She's younger than Haiti. So younger than me. I think what she's looking for is the next big thing. And... Are they... Okay. So for the hamburgers... And I have so many questions. I know. And you know what? Every question actually only... Every answer only brings more questions. Probably. Okay. So for the hamburgers and the hot dogs, are they... Okay. So they're crocheted. Are they life-size? See, that I can't answer. Because I've seen pictures of them, but never to scale. And I don't have any of those. Okay. And I actually got a chance... This leads me to the talk of the graduation party. But I got a chance to finally meet Maria after being Facebook friends with her for a long time. And, um... Oh, God bless you. What did he bring you? Wine. What a nice guy. It's probably poison. It's not... He's not trying to kill you. Yes, he is wrong. He's not trying to kill you. He's not. Does it smell like bitter almonds? Oh, no. It smells like heaven. Oh, then pound it down. And even if you die, you'll die happy. So I finally meet her. Oh, and I should go back. Because like a week and a half ago, Carrie had Linus and was saying, Now stay. Stay. And don't wag your tail. And she was taking pictures. And you see, that's weird for Linus. Was the tail all blurred in the rest of the... Because Linus, when he sits and stares at us, he wags his tail. That's what Judd does. And that's part of the game. When we do the sit, sit, sit, okay. But he can't... He's like going to explode. And finally, I said to Carrie, Why are you making him not wag his tail? She says, Well, I need a picture of his tail to send to Maria for the crocheted Linus. And I said, Hmm, okay. I wasn't aware this was our next step. So, obviously, she'd made inroads already. So when I finally met Maria, I said, Did the pictures help? Okay, wait, wait, wait. Yeah. Yeah. I know you're trying to tell a story here, but I just... You're right. Everything that you answer leads to more questions. Exactly. So is this... She needed the tail picture because Linus has the white tip on his tail? Well, Carrie, I mean, I think Carrie's thought, like many people's would be, If you're going to crochet a dog, you might as well make it accurate or why even bother? Right. So she was taking the pictures of the dog. And so when I finally got a chance to meet Hades' sister Maria, I said, So, I understand you're crocheting my dog. And I said, Do we have a pattern for this? And she said, Well, once you've crocheted enough dogs, you can sort of fake your way through it. So she's making it up as she goes. Does she live like in Nebraska? No, she lives in Leesburg, right in town. She's terrific. I came home from work today. There's something Napoleon Dynamite-ish about all of this. I just don't understand. You could totally drink whole milk. You're not fat. Eat your nachos. So I got home, and it was on the porch, wrapped in plastic. Now, here's the thing. Linus thinks it's a toy. Naturally. Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no. I had to explain to him. I said, No, no, this is art. This is art. So we have a crocheted dog. But that's not the reason I brought you here. I wanted to tell you about, it was embarrassing at the graduation party. Because I got there, and this was for Hades' son, Thomas, who is a Tuscarora class of 2015. And we're very proud of him. He's a good guy. How old do you feel? Oh, a million years old. Yeah. A million years old. Because now Julia will be at Tuscarora next year. This year. So I've got a high schooler, essentially. So she graduates 2019. Yes. Class of 2019. Hold it. That's not right. No, because she'll start in 15, so it'll go 16, 17, 18, 19. Yes. For all the listeners who cannot see Rob, he honestly did that counting them off of his fingers. Counted on my fingers. And you know what? I'm standing by it. Class of 2019. 2019. Provided everything goes according to plan. And Robert will be class of 2021. 2021. That's kind of cool. That's pretty neat. But you know what would be the best class? Would be the 2020. Yeah. But anyway. I graduated college in 2000. That's pretty cool. Julia was born in 2000. I know. Millennium baby. Baby. So I went to the party, and it was a great, great graduation party. It was Thomas and a friend of his. The family kind of co-hosted it. And so there was food, just miles and miles of food, and like two cakes from Costco. That's like a wedding. Wow. Yeah. How many people? Not enough for two cakes from Costco. That's insane. Did you know? I have to tell you something. Sure. We don't have Costco down here. I heard. Did I tell you? You did. No, you know what? Where we left it is that you didn't think they had Costco, but you were going to try to find another box store. I found a Sam's Club. That's pretty good. It's pretty good, but I know Costco. I have to learn the Sam's Club. Well, it can't be that much different. Okay. I'm sorry. So please, two giant cakes from Costco. One chocolate, one vanilla, one chocolate, one not chocolate. And just, you know, like. One brown, one white. Like, I mean, the kind of thing, like, you know what, if you do a party and you say, what's your main thing going to be? We're going to have like a crock pot full of meatballs. No, we're going to have chicken wings. No, we're going to have chicken fingers. No, we're going to have a pork barbecue, pulled barbecue that you can eat. No, we're going to have, they had all of that. Oh my gosh. And Carrie made macaroni salad. So, I mean, this was something. This was a big deal. Oh, and we loaned them chairs from our deck. And this was bad because the backyard, I don't know if it was because we had just had rain, which I don't think we had, or they had maybe just done some work on the grass. The, the ground was soft. And I'm probably had their yard fixed up for the party. I would think so. I would, because when I sat on the chairs, you know, when you sit on a chair and you, you feel the resistance and the chair sometimes gives a little bit, but there's a, the end of sitting on a chair, the act of sitting on a chair, the end of it has a finite end, a definite completion.
