What's going on everyone? It's Bluff here and you know what's more American than

America's 250th birthday? Supporting American owned companies like SpinQuest.

America's number one social casino with over a thousand games like Live Dealer

Blackjack and Craps. They're offering new users a $30 coin package for just $10.

Go to SpinQuest.com and sign up today.

SpinQuest is a free-to-play social casino. Void where prohibited. Visit

SpinQuest.com for more details. I think most people are looking for more simplicity these days.

That's one reason I appreciate Azure's standard. At first I thought it was just about groceries.

Then I discovered gardening supplies, pantry staples, household products, and so many of

the other things we use every day. They've spent over 30 years delivering clean organic groceries

and earth-friendly products to families who care about what goes on their plates and into their lives.

Everything they offer is rooted in real nutrition, transparency, and trust. What I like is that it

encourages a different mindset. Instead of constantly running to the store, you begin thinking about your

home differently. You stock your pantry, you plan family meals, maybe you plant a garden. You become

a little more intentional about what you bring into your home. That's what abundance means to me.

Experience new products and stock up on your favorites during this month's waves of abundance sales.

Discover a simpler, healthier way to shop for the things that matter most at azurestandard.com.

That's azurestandard.com.

My electric bill keeps creeping up every month this summer.

You know what, Mike? We hear that from Florida homeowners all the time. Renewal by Anderson's

energy-efficient replacement windows can help reduce heat transfer, improving comfort, and lowering energy

costs. Nice! And you've got some end-of-the-summer savings happening?

That's right. This month only, buy four windows or doors and get the fifth free, plus 12-month special financing.

Just go to bestwindowsflorida.com to schedule your free in-home design consultation to claim these savings.

Restrictions apply. License number CGC 1527613.

Hi, Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Are you looking for a beach read this summer? May I suggest your big wireless bill?

It's got suspense, mystery, a slightly flat emotional arc, and a shocking twist where you realize you've been

overpaying the entire time. Fortunately, though, Mint's story is better. Every plan, $15 a month.

Even unlimited. That's it. Happy ending. Zero tears. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch.

Upfront payment of $45 for three months, $90 for six months, or $180 for 12-month plan required.

$15 per month equivalent. Taxes and fees extra. Initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes.

May slow when network is busy. See terms.

Mike O'Mara, Radio Entertainment.

Hey there! This is Katie, with a very hateful thought of the day.

I hate people who think they're an expert on everything and have to insert in their opinion whether or not you've asked for it.

We've all been at a bar when somebody starts talking about the latest celebrity hoopla,

and the dude next to you jumps right into your conversation. Side note, I've been guilty of this.

Even better is the know-it-all asshat who can't let you get a word in edgewise with their,

I saw it on TV and I'm an expert now. Word from the experienced. Don't play trivia with these people either.

I hate know-it-alls. And you, I hate you too.

I'm gonna play dude walker now.

I'm gonna try not to talk. Can't do it, can't do it.

Bite him tongue.

Okay.

Bite him tongue.

Cake and cookies.

Hey Rob.

Don't do it!

It's the Rob and Katie Show.

It was too juicy of a setup.

I couldn't do it, I couldn't do it.

Welcome, one and all, to episode number 15 of the C&C Podcast Factory.

The cake, the cookies, the Rob and the Katie. I am Rob.

I am Katie.

And we have got so much to talk to you about.

Saving lives.

That we actually waited almost three hours to do this show.

We just kept seeing stuff.

Three! I got here at noon.

I know, but we did a thing.

We just kept seeing stuff. Three! I got here at noon. I know, but we did a thing. It's true. We did a big thing. And appropriately enough, today's show brought to you by NVCC. I think you've already heard this fact, that 80% of all cardiac events happen in my home. No, no, I'm sorry, happen in the home. Correct. So chances are, the life you save will be someone you love. That is if you know how to save them. Guess what? We now know how to save people. I'm certified! And I am re-certified. Everyone in this house right now is certified. And we all got certified, courtesy of the NVCC Heart Saver First and CPR with AED hybrid course. You know what the AED is? It's not an IUD, which you kept calling it. No, no, no. Which I kept calling it. I was being silly. Well, no, the first time you said it, you were... No. You made a mistake. I was confused. I know. It's the paddle, essentially. It's like the mini paddles. But they're stick... Like you stick these little pads onto... Well, I guess a person, but for us they were... Dummies. Dummies. Don't call me names. It could be dumb people. I don't know. That thing is so cool. It's very cool. It actually talks to you. And we learned all about it, courtesy of the Northern Virginia Community College American Heart Association Training Center. And you can do it too. The magical thing about it is it's really one afternoon of your life. Well, and here's the thing. I got to tell you, I feel really confident in what I've learned. We actually mentioned that in our instructor. April! April! April is so matter of fact about it, but she also explains how important it is and how it works. And here's the thing. It's relatively simple stuff. Yeah. Almost intuitive. It really... I know. I think it genuinely is. Yeah. It's just a matter of going through it in the proper orders. Right. And making sure that you have assistance and you need assistance. Right. And taking charge of the situation. She came to my house today. She taught us what we needed to know. And... And by we, you mean you, me, Robert, Julia, and Dan. And Dan. And what is so cool about it is that most of the stuff that you would think is tedious, the book learning, you learn online before you do your in-person training. And we all did it like in the last 24, 48 hours. Under two hours. Yeah. Under two hours you can do it and you learn everything. And remember, this is not just for adults. Kids are going to need to know CPR if they graduate in the very near future. So get ahead of the game. All you got to do to get in on this is go to MikeOmeraShow.com, click the banner, get more information, and then contact April. April! And remember the code TMOS. If you have a group, talk to April about arranging them coming to you. They can do that. Yeah, absolutely. They can... Like, you can set up a room at like a community center, at a school, a library. Usually you can reserve a room at a library. And they will actually come and teach you on your own turf. It's not just the CPR portion. Right. But it's also the first aid, which I think going into summertime, especially like watching Robert and Julia, like learn all this stuff and like how to tie a bandage and, you know, what to do if something happens. Oh, Robert, at the pool this summer, he's going to be Captain Tourniquet. Exactly. He knows exactly what he's doing. Right. But I thought that I think it's appropriate, especially this time of year, you know, for teenagers and everything, get a group of your teenage kids together, set them up, like send them to the library. And then they'll know. And they've got all the tools. It's so easy. The first 50 listeners to register for the hybrid course, get the online code free. That's a $40 value, but you can't put a value on being able to save a life. Learn CPR. Learn it today because CPR is a way of life. Now, one of the neatest things about it was this was actually Julia's second time taking the class. Yeah. She was re-registering. She just expired. You're good for two years, I suppose. Yeah. I thought it would be for a year, but I like that it's for two. It's for two years. So Julia was, you know, doing review, but this was the first time Robert had done this. And I'd been after him all week. I said, you got to get on the computer. He did a great job. He actually did. I said, you got to get on the computer. I started on Monday. Go in and do this online training. As of last night at bedtime, he had created an account. That's what he had done. He had gone in. He had created a name and a password. Step one. And he was on fire last night. He came home. He had a Coke. He was playing with the dog. He's playing basketball upstairs. And I finally get him nailed down to do this online training. And then he's tired. He says, I'm going to do it tomorrow. I said, great. You're going to do it tomorrow. Well, I had an early morning. I finally went and got him out of bed at about 930, knowing that noon was when we were going to start our training. Right. And it's very, very achievable to get this online training done in two hours. So we gave him two and a half. I did it in about an hour and a half tops. So I get him. But I just sat down and just went right through it. I didn't stop or anything. So I got him sitting down. And there was a couple hiccups. And then it got to be about 1148. And you know he is watching that clock. And it's, you know. And he's like, man. It's like that Gary Cooper movie, High Noon. It is. He's just staring at the clock, knowing that it's. And he says, dad. And I walk by. And there's an urgency to his voice. Dad. What? What happens if she gets here and I'm not done? Oh, no. And he walks. Back to the clock. I said, we're going to do the best we can. But he says, but if I'm not done, I won't have my certificate. I said, son. He was really into getting certified, too. I said, son. I thought it was cool. The best thing you can do to be done is stop asking me questions and get done. He finished at 1202. And you know what? For him, that's a win. Well, he. I mean, he. And he did a great job. He did a fantastic job. So we learned how to do it. And I'm sorry. I thought it was really. What? It was. It was cool to, like, watch you. I think you and Carrie are just two of the best parents I've ever. You do what you can. Ever. Ever. You do what you can. Witnessed. Yeah. And I thought it was really cool to see you. Like, I wish Carrie was here, but I know she has to work. I'm okay with that. Nah, I miss Carrie. So anyways, I thought it was really cool to see you, like, as a dad participating with your kids in the whole thing. I guess you had never really seen that. Like, in a situation where dad skills, if that's what you call them. Like, a dad relationship comes into play. Yeah. But it was cool because, you know, April's obviously been in that situation of having adults and younger people going through the whole thing. So she just is very cool with, like, all ages. Everything. Yeah. So it was funny when you were, like, doing the check and you tickled him. That cracked me up. Well, that was one of the things you actually, you know, you have a volunteer who lays down and they are the victim. The victim. The victim is breathing but not responsive. And you don't know what's wrong with the victim. So you have to actually feel under the perimeter of the body to make sure there's no, like, pooling blood. And Robert is devilish ticklish. I didn't know that. Just devilishly ticklish. The poor little guy kept, like, squirming up like a worm. It was great. It was just, like, his knees up to his chest. But I can say this as a parent. Get in there with your kids and do it. It was cool. You feel truly, I hate using an Oprah word, but you feel empowered and you feel good about yourself. And guess what? If the situation calls upon you, God forbid that you need to know it, it's not much to learn it and you carry it with you. So please go out and get yourself certified. It makes everybody safer. Well, like I
