This is Katie with a very hateful thought of the day. Well, this one may be short because I hate myself, but I hate unprepared people. If you're making commitment and people are counting on you, then don't cancel two days before you're needed. Give a little notice and try a little tenderness and get off a mile on. I hate inconsiderate, jerk-faced people. And you. I hate you, too. You know what? Not the first time that during the hate, I feel a little bit like it might be directed at me. Is it because... Oh, no, that was directed at me. Oh, but was it directed at you? Because, you know, I've canceled several times. We've been... We've supposed to have been recorded a long time. Oh, no, no, no, no. Rob, you've been sick. I have been. I completely... Honestly, to be perfectly, terribly, 100% honest, I staff people during my day job. Right. And people commit to certain things, and then they call two days before to say, eh, you know what? I just don't think I can make it. Just sort of blasé. Very blasé about it. Like, it's like no big deal for me to, like, figure it out. Magically pull it out of... And just have it fixed. Oh, sure. I can just pull people out of my ass. That's just the way it goes. Like, babies. I'll just have babies. They're adults. They can go in and do your job. You know, that's not where babies come from. I didn't think so. That would be an anal birth. It hasn't worked out for me yet. Okay. So, the whole thing is, is... I just... I hate people that... commit wholeheartedly to do something by saying, oh, yeah, sure, no problem. I got this. I can do this. This is, you know, yada, yada, yada. And then, you know, I had something come up. You know, it's Mother's Day weekend, and Saturday, I really wanted to do this thing, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's two days before. And they just leave you hanging. I'll tell you who never leaves you hanging. Dude Walker. Cake and cookies. Rob and Katie. It's the Rob and Katie Show. You know, I've produced radio shows many times and been fired as many times. Oh, yeah. But the thing... Sometimes as you've been hired, you have been fired. It's a matched set. Like knives and forks. But the one thing about producing that I hated was that is a job, and what's unique to the job of being a producer, you are dependent. Your job and your success is dependent on stuff other people do. Exactly. Now, for example, if you book a guest for a radio show, and it can be the greatest booking in the world, you could book Bradley Cooper, you know, red hot, sizzling movie star. Okay, wait for a second. You like him? Okay, go ahead. Okay. Wow, that was awkward for everybody. Even you, maybe a little bit. Not for me. No, it's okay. That was good. He seemed centered and focused. But let's say you book Bradley Cooper, and it's confirmed with his publicist and his studio and him. It doesn't count until he's on the show. And until that very moment, you just don't know. I've had people call and cancel. Especially the ones where you're not actually dealing with the person themselves. The worst. The worst. And that's where you're just like, okay, on some level, I'm hanging by a thread. Yeah, I've had some really, you know, some really fortunate and good luck bookings lately on the Mike O'Mara show. Yeah, I've heard him. Oh my God. Chuck Todd was amazing. That episode was so good. I loved it. But what was so crazy is that, you know, until he showed up, he wasn't booked. I mean, I had talked to him and his people and everything, and it drives me crazy. And if you're not surrounded by people you can totally depend on, then that's probably the basis of your hate, is that you have to be able to depend on people. Exactly. That is totally, but I have to, I'm sorry, I have to veer off here. Okay, so for the whole Chuck Todd thing. Yes. I'm a huge fan of his. Sure. I really, really am. Before he was on Meet the Press, I was a huge fan of Chuck Todd. When he was the White House correspondent? Yes. Yeah. Did you ever, like, really think, okay, there's a chance he's not going to show? Yeah. Up until the very moment. Actually, you know what? When I got the text. Did you all, like, not realize, like, what a fan he was? No, I knew that. But I also know that he is the host of Meet the Press. And until I got the text that they were on the way, I was in a pacing style of mood. Because, you know, what can you do? What you've done is you have totally put it in the hands of someone else. And I'm not disparaging Chuck Todd in the least. I trust him implicitly. No, but he has handlers. He has people. He has people. He has people. He does have people. He has schedulers. He's got... Handlers? Handlers? Yes. But the thing is... What's wrong with handlers? Handlers are good. Why are you making fun of the way that I say that? Handlers? Yeah. Should it not be handlers? Fine. Well, I'm not looking for trouble. You're always looking for trouble. Let me get back to the fact that it wasn't that I distrust... I've known you for, like, 17 years. 18 years. I know. I like to find the trouble. I don't distrust Chuck Todd. As a matter of fact, booking news people are probably the most dependable people to show up of anybody. Because I think they realize from being on the other end that, you know, they've got to be dependent on. Comics are not very reliable. So anyway, we really sort of spun out here. But... Sorry. No, but I was the one that made it spin. It's a really cool episode, though. So, like, if you're listening to this show and you haven't heard the Chuck Todd episode of TMS... Go back and check it out. Yeah. Oh, you should totally listen to it. It's really cool. Very cool. It's just really cool. But even in any line of work, when you are staffing something, you cannot be 100% guaranteed that the person you staff can be dependent on. You can depend on one person. You can depend on yourself. That you can depend on. But when you bring in other people, that's when it gets mixed up, right? Right. And that's what you hate. Exactly. And that's what I was kind of hating on there. No, no, no. Let's not get out of hand. Is there a room that has mystery boxes in it? Every room has at least one mystery box. That's fun, right? Did I tell you about when the moving truck got here? No. Oh. Okay. So, this was the best part. So, when you pack up all your things. Yes. Not realizing that it's going to be put in storage for, like, four to five months. Right. You didn't pack up all your meats and vegetables, did you? No, no, no, no, no. Because they'll spoil Katie. But you might label things books. Yes. Okay. And you might label things office. Right. These aren't exactly details. You know what you're thinking? When you're packing, you're thinking that a vague reminding word is all you need. And you need much more. Of the house that it's coming out of. Sure. So, it totally makes sense. Five months later, you haven't seen or really thought about any of these things. And it's coming off of a moving truck. And it's somewhere between Christmas and a mental breakdown. So, they would pull, like, a piece of furniture, a legitimate piece of furniture off the truck. As opposed to an illegitimate piece of furniture whose parents had never married? I mean, like a five-foot bookshelf. Yes. But they had wrapped everything in some sort of, like, paper or plastic before they put it on the picture. Oh, was it like the big, like, the huge nuclear turbo-powered saran wrap? Yes. On, like, a stick. And, like, they take out, they put the chair down and they go, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh in circles. And you're left with something that looks like it's out of a horror movie. Right. Some sort of, my chair has become a pupa. Yes. So, they were bringing things. It's turning into mothra. They were bringing things off the truck. Right. And it was like, you know, they would ask, well, what room does this go in? And I'm going, hell, that is. What is it? What is this? So, we would kind of, and they kind of, they understood, like, after I explained to them, look, we haven't seen these things for
