Wayfair, every style, every home.

It feels good to worry less.

It feels good to GEICO.

So what is weird about where you are?

We're in Jupiter, Florida, which cracks me up to say anyways, because I get to tell people,

oh yeah, I'm in Jupiter.

It is still technically on the planet Earth.

I don't know.

It feels like I'm on another planet.

Right.

So there's tons of people here that have clearly migrated.

There is an inordinate amount of cars from Quebec on the road here.

Quebec.

Right.

Well, you know what?

I'm from America, so it's Quebec.

You know what that means?

That means the invasion has begun.

I don't know.

I think it means that they're smart.

Why are they-

Because you think it's cold there?

Oh yeah.

It's very cold in Quebec.

It's very cold.

You know, I think that actually would be a good radio station.

Quebec.

K-B-E-K?

Yeah.

K-B-E-K.

Quebec.

So do you want to hear another record then?

Yeah.

You're listening to Quebec.

I don't know why I have you in North Dakota.

I don't do a Quebec accent.

So I'm just in, you know, from down south north and doing this-

Down south north, eh?

Doing the overnights.

It's blustery.

All right.

Do you have a hateful thought?

I do.

All right.

We can start this.

As soon as-

Oh, I wanted to tell you one thing.

I got an email from Sir George Martin, the man who produced all the Beatles records.

He said, guys, how are you managing such fantastic fidelity this week?

Oh, you made a bad face.

Wayfair, every style, every home. It feels good to worry less. It feels good to GEICO. So what is weird about where you are? We're in Jupiter, Florida, which cracks me up to say anyways, because I get to tell people, oh yeah, I'm in Jupiter. It is still technically on the planet Earth. I don't know. It feels like I'm on another planet. Right. So there's tons of people here that have clearly migrated. There is an inordinate amount of cars from Quebec on the road here. Quebec. Quebec. Right. Well, you know what? I'm from America, so it's Quebec. You know what that means? That means the invasion has begun. I don't know. I think it means that they're smart. Why are they- Because you think it's cold there? Oh yeah. We can start this. As soon as- Oh, I wanted to tell you one thing. I got an email from Sir George Martin, the man who produced all the Beatles records. He said, guys, how are you managing such fantastic fidelity this week? Oh, you made a bad face. That hurts me. Maybe I should have said Phil Spector. Do you know how much time I have spent on this damn computer trying to reinstall the drivers? Hey, you know, I spent at least three hours with you. That's true. That's absolutely true. And we really didn't want it to be this way. No, we didn't. But you know what? What? I'm going to be on an island that requires a rubber raft and has no cars. So this is the way it's going to have to be until I get back. Oh, do you want to know when I get back? Sure. March 17th. March 17th. Ah, St. Patrick's Day. I am coming back. To D.C.? Super soon. Yeah. Now, when you're on this island. If you want to do a phoner, I'm going to have cell service there. It's not going to be sounding great. But you know what? We gave up on fidelity a long time ago. And you know what? What I appreciate is the cake and cookie listeners who have also given up on fidelity. I know, right? Like, I feel like we have lowered the bar. Yes. And they have lowered themselves right with us. I think a lot of them are actually in the bar right now. They're waiting for us. Let's start the program. Michael Mera, Radio Entertainment. Hey there. This is Katie with the very hateful thought of the day. I hate getting older. Oh, they may say you get wise and smart with age. But all I've become is a wise ass and a smart ass. Rob will tell you, those days of being carded are long gone. And so is the elasticity of our faces. What the heck happened? I hate getting old. And you know what? Actually, I don't. We're getting more fabulous with every year that passes. So pass the champagne and toast to another year, Robbie. We've got one on the books. I hate being this fabulous. And you. I hate you too. Have a birthday, Robbie. Well, thank you, Katie. But if you made a long list of words to describe me, you'd be on page 10 before you got to fabulous. That's not true. No, you're fabulous. You, baby, you. Oh, you're fabulous. No, you, baby. You are. Well, stop. I think there are words that describe me. Wide. You know, other words. Right. Stoic. Yeah. Art Deco. These are all good words. I think that one sort of just flies right past and goes into fabulous. All right. I'll take it. Hey, look. I saw him this week on House of Cards. It's my buddy, Dude Walker. Cake and cookies. Please, Rob and Katie. It's the Rob and Katie Show. You know, he was actually on the. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. What? No spoilers. I haven't seen this season yet. Well, it's not a spoiler to let you know that he's 22 minutes into episode two, I think. He plays the speaker of the house. Okay. He was on the Mike O'Meara radio program this very week talking about it. It was fascinating. So I believe that is the March 6th episode of TMOS. If you are a House of Cards enthusiast, you should check it out. Yes, we recorded it today. Oh, okay. Well, then great. It was, he was fantastic. And he is, he's done. It's not even called being an extra. There's a lot of what they call background work, but he had a great line where he said, you know, like calling to the floor or whatever. And it was so funny. I'm excited. I was watching the House of Cards program. And I believe that's the full title. The House of Cards program. I was not. No, I was looking at the House of Cards program on television, on the television. And I went, on the TV. I said, ah, ah, Carrie, Julia, Robert, Dude Walker, on TV. I know him. I know him. I know him. So it's very, very cool to see him on television. Welcome everybody to the 42nd effort of making this podcast. It is the cake and the cookies. I am Rob. I am Katie. Yes, you are. Did I catch you in a sip? You kind of did. You know, it's amazing for someone who's so eager for another beer. You're not really savoring that one. Nope. No. There are portions before the show that we record and portions that we don't. And then portions that we wish we had. And I believe my favorite thing that was said before the show today was, Dan, find me something. Anything. I'll drink whiskey. No, not really. I won't drink whiskey. But you said it like you meant it. That's absolutely the truth. That, like, if I am desperate, I'll drop the W word, the whiskey word. I visited the W word last night. And then people. Well, yeah, but I don't actually drink liquor. Yes, of course not. I hardly know her. That's right. This is a weekly podcast to show by way of comparison that your life isn't that bad. Or is it? Our thanks, as always, to Mike O'Mara, Oscar Santana, and everyone at More Broadcasting, including Matthew Bloom and Dude Walker. Check us out at Facebook, www.facebook.com, leaning to the right slash, Rob and Katie. And, of course, the abandoned world of Twitter, at Rob and Katie. I've been tweeting from my personal account. I think you should tweet from our account as well. I don't know how. Okay. Can Dan help you with that? Dan can't find me a beer. Okay. Well, maybe what we do. Oscar has taught me a lot of things since we've worked together. It might warrant a phone call because right now, like, Bitter Betty is in the house. Okay. Well, the thing that Oscar has taught me most recently is that everybody's good at something. Okay? Okay. Dan might not be good at finding you a beer. But we know that Dan can tweet. He doesn't tweet. He's tweeted for us before. Remember back when we cared? Like, twice? Yeah, but they were... In the past 52 weeks? They were great, though. Were they? They were really... I think they were up for tweet awards. The 2014 annual tweeties. The tweeties. Exactly. They were hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Okay, seriously. How behind the times would we feel if that's actually a thing? You know, I'm sure it is a thing. Everything's a thing. Everybody has a podcast and everybody gets an award. Oh, by the way, find us on the iTunes, Cake, Ampersand, Cookies, and leave us a five-star review and a clever comment. It means the world to us. And it helps to get the word out. The best way to find this program is to search more, M-O-R-E Broadcasting. And then you'll see all the shows, including Tech 411, Rob and Joe, It's Mickey, O'MaraCast with Steve Marmelstein. All of these great shows. Tony Perkins and Gary Stein. Oh, and Gary Stein and Tony Perkins, of course. Which they sometimes now just call the Tony and Gary Show. Right. Which is good. All right. So you are, the last time we spoke, you were in Savannah or were you in Florida when we spoke last? I was in Savannah. Right. I am now in Florida. Okay. What part of Florida? Jupiter. It's not, I'm not making that up. And quite frankly, I feel like I'm on another planet. It's where Burt Reynolds lives. It's true. It's true. There's a whole park dedicated to the man with the mustache. It is. It's a stop by the two pay caves that are located in Burt Reynolds Park. Aren't they? Right near mustache mountain. I think that's closer to Orlando. No, but he is. He's a favorite son down there. The Burt Reynolds is. And he has a. I really do love it. There's a bridge. There's a park. There's a museum. Does he still have the dinner theater? You know what? I think if he still does, it has moved. Because we went past. It was a destination on our list. Okay. We went past it. And it looks like it closed down. It's a destination on everybody's list. Because what I want is a nice big plate of pasta. And someone that has received a Burt Reynolds endorsement doing barefoot in the park. Because I don't think Burt. I want to see the John Candy wax statue. He has one? Well, if he doesn't, he should. Well, what did he do with John Candy? Weren't they like. No, Dom DeLuise. Yeah, you're thinking of. He was bestie with Dom DeLuise. Yeah, and the Dom DeLuise wax statue might actually be Dom DeLuise. I don't know. We'd have to poke it and see. The late Dom DeLuise. Is he still alive? No, no, no. We lost him years ago. Okay. That's what I'm saying. He'd have to be a wax statue. You know, or the actual guy. But just, you know, preserved. One time. Oh, like stuffed? Yeah. And, you know, a stuffed Dom DeLuise. What's that called? Wait, wait, wait. What's it called when people do that? Taxidermy. Yeah. Can you imagine if someone took Dom DeLuise to a taxidermist and they're like, man, I don't think I can help you with this one. This is, and then they do it and then it's like, that was my crowning moment of 2009. It took me 364 days and I can't even tell you how long it took me to sew up that shirt. Well, I'm going to tell you this. Because the one problem you have with that story, someone could not take the body of Dom DeLuise to a taxidermist. It would have to be several people. And maybe a hand truck is involved as well. Do you know one time, Michael? That's what you think is like not going to work about my story? Well, no, there's several levels, but I'm just starting the outermost part of the onion. Hello, MacGyver. Also, you better be pretty close to a sawmill if you want enough sawdust to fill that body. Because you know what? There's a lot of two by fours going to have to be chipped up. But one time. We decided to go with a polyester fiber fill. So this would be a little more mobile than say when we use that just straight sawdust. Because that polyester fiber fill, it weighs a lot less. And quite frankly, the skin of this man was heavy enough. The skin. The Dom DeLuise skin suit. You know, one time. I just creeped myself out. When the Don and Mike show had traveled to Los Angeles and we had some time to kill, Mike went shopping. And he came back and he said, would you like to have a silk shirt? And I said, I'd love it. It would be very, very nice. And he gave me a beautiful black silk shirt. I said, why did you buy this if you didn't want it? And he said, as he was ringing up, the clerk says, you know, I sold the same shirt to Dom DeLuise. And I don't. And to be fair, not the same size, but the same style of shirt. Quick like a bunny. I have to give this away. Who would take it? Rock takes anything free. I'm giving it to raw. But I kept it just based on the whole, the funny of it. But Mike could not bring him
