I hate ridiculously oversized furniture.

No matter what size you may be, a giant sofa always makes you look like a clown.

Old people can't get out.

Young people can't get up.

And people my size have zero hope of ever touching the floor with their feet.

No matter your age, you will certainly need assistance either off or on.

And God help you if you're all alone after a couple of drinks and rolling onto the floor is the safest way to exit.

I hate clown-sized furniture.

I hate you too.

I've never once encountered a chair that was too big for me.

One time I found one that fit.

It was a love seat.

I've seen one.

It's in front of the Duke Ellington School for the Arts.

It's a giant, oversized, and when I say giant, they use it like a jungle gym.

And you know what? People are really, they're really quick to remind us of that. Woo! Some people also feel that they know everything about your life based on some few very, almost vague Facebook and Twitter postings. Well, they've got it all figured out. I'm surprised we even need to do the show. I know! But then there's the people. It's 39. They've got the people that are all figured out. And then there's also the people that they're saying, I'm beating my hand on the table because I want an episode of. Listen, Papal. Papal. Papal. I'm talking to the Vatican now. I know. I don't know. Well, you should, what? Should I offer you a clue? At any given point. Is it bigger than a Longaberger basket? It is. Well, not the giant one. No, no, no. No, no. But a real one made out of, like, wicker? Sure. Sure. One of those all-night wicker stores. Don't violate the wicker laws. Mr. Wobb. No, what happened is, since Oscar is getting an education, and you know what? We just finished up the Mike O'Mara show. We're broadcasting from the Cappy Pfeiffer Studios today. We sure are. In Washington, D.C., Georgetown Glover Park. It just occurred to me that Mac, our intern, I asked him at the beginning of the show that we did two hours ago to find out the name of the business school that Oscar was in, and you know what he did? He did not come up with that. Maybe he did, but we just didn't come back to it. And you know what? Maybe that's probably best. Every time we don't go to him, it's always a good decision. But Oscar is off bettering himself. He is, and so since the seat was empty, we offered Katie to come in and sit in on the Mike O'Mara show. Hi-do-ho, neighbor! Which was an excellent episode. Listen to it today. I might have said the funniest thing I've ever said in my life. You did very, very well. I really, I don't, I told you even, I was like, I can't go on any further. And that's why, actually, the reason that we are in the Cappy Pfeiffer Studios as the Mike O'Mara show is because- It's all because of me. You got Oscar to move to Glover Park. In my building. In your building. It was WJFK East. WJF Keyst. Keyst. Now, this is, but this is your first time in the studio where we record Tech 411. And I love it. Oh. I mean the Mike O'Mara show. It's a shared space. Right. And so, what's your thing? And what do you think of it? What's your take? I really like it. I love the exposed brick. Very nice. And I like the panels, the way that you've done them with the- Were they here or did- No, Oscar built all those and they're amazing. They're amazing. It's a really great- It's comfortable. I love it. It's a great, great room and it was nice that you were able to come in. And I know we're not in my basement and therefore, this is a change. We're not drinking. I know. At all. Well, I haven't been drinking. At all? No, like I had a beer last night. Every once in a while, I'll have like a beer or a glass of wine. But I'm keeping it at a- You're keeping it tight. Oh, you know, we're- I'm drinking a lot. Are you? Yes. How are those whiskey sours treating you? Oh, they were terrific. And we said, let's say we could make it with simple syrup or we could make it with powdered sugar. I said, let's have one of each. Well, we got to try the differences. And see how we do. No, I'm not drinking any more than I normally do. Just drinking, you know, maintaining or the shaking. Well, you got to maintain. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yes, this is my- I moved here in 1999 to this neighborhood. Right. This is the Brooklyn of Washington, D.C. To the building where Oscar now owns a condominium. Yeah, two, I think. Doesn't he? I think so, too. Yeah. Because he's happening. It was an apartment building. Aunt Jane lived there. That's right. That's right. And she invited me to live with her because she had a big two bedroom. So I lived in her spare bedroom. And then I got my own apartment in that building. Same building. Then, because it was still under rent control. That's a D.C. thing, too? It has to be grandfathered in. So it was the original owners. Who's grandfathered in? No. Grandfathered. Oh. I thought this was a guy. No, that was Don. Remember? Grandfathered Don, of course. Remember Don? Yes, I do. Yes. God rest his soul. Oh. Either that or I'm really wrong about everything. I see. But you did live in the building, this much we know. For 12 years. Understood. And then Oscar lived there. Had a couple other. Still does. Other friends that moved in there. A couple other people from JFK moved in there. Who else? Brian Peck lived there for a while. Okay, sure. Yeah, a production guy. Let's see. I can't remember who. I feel like somebody else did. But it might have been a co-worker from a different job. But there was a definite presence in that building. Oh, yeah. Okay. Okay. There's only 17 units at the time. So we had a huge presence in there. And so that's why we are here. Now, this is your first time in this building. Yep. And you had a question about the lavatory. Yeah. A little strange in there for the women's room. Now, this I have to jump in and say. And Pony will back me up here. And Matt Bloom is here, which is nice. Uh-huh. Hello. Hi. Didn't tell you to talk. I will tell you you can talk all you want. That you will regret that because he will. He's all excited. Within reason. Now, Matt, was it like about mid-December when we finally got ladies and gentlemen put on our bathrooms? Yeah, absolutely. It was weird. There were never any labels on any of the doors. And then suddenly they appeared overnight. And so the gentleman bathroom is a little more standard. And, you know, when they were not specified, I preferred the other one because of the layout. And it also has two toilets in it. With doors. Yes. But the thing is, is that there's a sign that says, please lock the door. So you're only going to be one person in there because the door is locked. There is no need for two toilets in there. And I like to call it, before it was the girls' room, we called it the Catholic bathroom because it's right next. You see, we share the office across the way is a Catholic office building. Oh, okay. I think it has to do with the university. And so that's the Catholic side of the building and that's the Catholic bathroom. But now it's easy. We just call it the ladies' room. But I always wondered why there was two toilets in the Catholic's bathroom. It's not that there's, it's the sign that says, please lock the door, which I think I figured out why the sign is there. Ah, why? I don't know about you, but. Exactly. When I went into one of the stalls with the doors that shut, floor to ceiling door. Yes. Did you go, as you look at it, as you're facing the toilets, did you go stage right or stage left? I went stage right. I think that's the natural choice. But I had a bigger reason to go to stage right. Oh? I couldn't figure out how to turn a light on inside the stalls. And there was more light coming into stage right than there was on stage left. Otherwise, I would have gone to stage left because it has a little potty, whereas stage right has a taller potty. That's probably why I choose stage right. And I'm not a taller potty person. I haven't been using the ladies room since it's been designated a ladies room. But gee, why? Well, you see, but there's two reasons. And it's like, I've said this on the Michael Mara show before.
